I had to get my 6th (SIXTH) shot for this trip today. This was my 2nd Hep A/B shot of the series. I usually get one shot a year (not 6+), which is usually my flu shot, and I always dread it and whine about "my wound" for at least a week after. Again, another growing experience for me! I should just be thankful that I'm able to easily get all these vaccinations since people don't have that luxury where we are going.
We start malaria medication at the end of next week. So far nothing has made me sick, so I'm hoping that's true of the malaria meds too. When I got 5 shots all at once, the biggest side effect was I got very cranky and was tired for a few days.
